Volunteer Day at St. Anthony’s Dining Room
Join fellow UCSF Retirees for a day of service at St. Anthony's Dining Room!
Mission of St. Anthony’s
In San Francisco, one in five adults lacks the resources to provide food for themselves or their families. In the Tenderloin district, that number is as high as one in two. St. Anthony’s Dining Room helps to offset this lack of basic sustenance by serving nearly one million hot, sit-down meals every year.
What to wear
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for an active work environment and close-toed shoes. Long pants and tennis shoes are recommended. UCSF Volunteer t-shirts will be provided; please indicate your size on the form below.
What you will be doing
Help prep food, load trays with meals, serve guests, and keep the dining room tables clean and cleared after guests have finished eating. Welcoming each guest with dignity and respect is fundamental to St. Anthony's Dining Room meal service as 1,000 – 3,000 meals are prepared each day.
Date: Tuesday, February 25, 2020, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
