UCSFRA: NASA Ames Research Center Visit
NASA's Ames Research Center, one of ten NASA field centers, is located in the heart of California's Silicon Valley. Since 1939, Ames has led NASA in conducting world-class research and development in aeronautics, exploration technology and science aligned with the center's core capabilities. Ames contributes to virtually every major NASA mission and initiative via expertise in core aerosciences like entry systems, advanced IT systems, astrobiology, and life sciences.
Please join us for this self-led walking tour of the NASA Ames Research Center. A video presentation will introduce us to the work of NASA. Then there will be plenty of time to peruse the exhibits, some of which will include a presentation. Be prepared to learn about the exploration of space and about the universe we live in. We will meet at 10 a.m. in the parking lot and following the tour, we'll go to a local restaurant for lunch (details to be announced).
Date: Tuesday, January 22, 2019, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Tour), 12 - 2 p.m. (Optional Lunch)
Location: Moffet Field, Mountain View, CA 94035
